Privacy Policy

QEII Medical Centre Trust respects your privacy. This document sets out our policies for management of personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act.

  1. Information we collect
    1. We only collect personal information to help decide whether you meet the criteria for a parking permit and in order to communicate with you.
    2. We do not collect or use any of your personal identification numbers, e.g. employee number, tax file number or Medicare number.
  2. How we collect your information
    1. We only collect personal information by lawful and fair means, and not in an unreasonably intrusive way.
  3. Disclosure of information

    The people and organisations to which we usually disclose personal information are:

    1. Parking Department management and Wilson Parking to the extent necessary to arrange car parking.
    2. Persons or organisations that need to be given access to personal information. These include the Parking Department, Wilson Parking and the parking operator.
  4. How we use your information
    1. We do not use or disclose personal information about you for any purpose other than to provide the car parking service as in 1. and 2. above unless:
      1. you have given us permission to do so or
      2. the use or disclosure is required or authorised by law.
    2. We do not send personal information overseas.
  5. Keeping you informed

    When we collect personal information from you, we take reasonable steps to ensure that you are aware of:

  6. Accuracy of information

    We take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date.

  7. Security of information

    We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including obtaining agreements from those that have access to the personal information that they will treat the personal information with the utmost confidentiality.

  8. What we do with old information

    We take reasonable steps to destroy personal information if it is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed, but we may archive the information and retain it for at least 7 years for legal purposes.

  9. Getting access to your information

    We provide you with access to personal information we hold about you on your request. If the personal information is not accurate, complete and up-to-date, we take reasonable steps to correct the personal information accordingly.

  10. Anonymity

    It is not feasible to give you the option of remaining anonymous when providing personal information to us.
